Introducing Continuous Performance Intelligence
TL;DR
This post covers the following main topics:
- Why continuous performance intelligence is the next essential system for leaders
- How autonomous Observers (Rev, Byte, and Vibes) quietly monitor performance and only escalate what matters
- How the new Chat experience uses live "memories" instead of static data pulls or manual uploads
- How a skills-based reporting engine aligns daily insights to your goals, OKRs, and priorities
- What’s new in the redesigned homepage, notifications, and customization controls
- How to join the open beta and start using AI-powered observers to run a higher-performing business
The challenge faced by every leader since the time of Moses has always been the same: as the organization grows in size, you just can't keep up with what's really happening.
This is why we create Dashboards to try and tell you in numbers what is going on, but they rarely tell you why, and almost never fast enough to change the outcome.
That gap is exactly what we’re solving with WorkSights AI.
Today we’re launching the full version of WorkSights AI: a platform for continuous performance intelligence that runs across your existing tools and gives leaders real-time visibility into the work, the people, and the patterns driving performance.
What is WorkSights AI?
WorkSights AI connects to the systems your business already uses every day – calendar, files, chat, meetings, project management, CRM, task tracking, design tools, code repositories, and issue trackers.
From these raw signals, we construct secure, real-time “memories” of what’s actually happening in your business. We then apply AI to turn that activity into performance intelligence – a blend of quantitative and qualitative insight that helps you answer questions like:
- Who is actually pushing critical initiatives forward?
- Is our sales team spending their time on selling or admin?
- Are engineers focused on meaningful work, or stuck in churn?
- Is our culture trending towards collaboration or fragmentation?
- Where do I, as a leader, need to lean in today, not next quarter?
Instead of waiting on lagging reports or pulling people into yet another status meeting, WorkSights AI gives you a live, AI-powered view of performance, delivered proactively.
The Four New Capabilities We’re Launching
With this release, we’re shipping four major upgrades that bring the promise of continuous performance intelligence to life:
- Autonomous AI Observers
- Context-rich Performance Chat
- Skills-based Reports Engine
- A New Homepage for Leaders
1. Autonomous Observers: Always-On Performance Agents
Today we're introducing a new concept inside WorkSights AI: Observers.
Think of Observers as specialized AI agents that continuously watch what’s happening across your business and surface the things you, as a leader, actually need to know. They run in the background, 24/7, combining large language models with your real business data and memories.
At launch, we’re introducing three distinct Observer personalities:
Rev – Revenue & Sales Performance
Rev is our sales-focused Observer. Rev looks across activities linked to sales and revenue functions, including:
- External meetings
- CRM usage and hygiene
- Time spent on genuine selling activities vs. internal noise
Rev’s job is to understand how effectively your sales-facing people are spending their time and whether their behavior matches what a high-performing revenue team should look like.
Byte – Engineering & Technical Work
Byte (yes, like kilobyte) is our engineering-focused Observer, built to behave like an experienced engineering analyst.
Byte analyzes the work patterns of team members doing technical or engineering work, including activity in:
- GitHub
- Jira and issue trackers
- Notion, Basecamp, Monday.com or other Task trackers
Byte helps you understand energy, effort, and focus across your engineering teams – who’s shipping, who’s stuck, and where technical effort is really going.
Vibes – Culture, Collaboration & Presence
Vibes is focused on the cultural layer of performance: how your people are working together.
Vibes looks for signals like:
- Collaboration and cross-functional interaction
- Participation in meetings and group work
- Overall presence and engagement in day-to-day work
It’s not about surveillance; it’s about understanding whether teams are actually collaborating and showing up in the ways your business needs to win.
How Observers Work in Practice
All three Observers run continuously in the background, analyzing the activity streaming in from your tools. But they’re not noisy. They only escalate when there’s something that genuinely deserves your attention.
- They send notifications via email, Slack, or in-app only when they see a meaningful signal or anomaly.
- Every notification includes a transparent chain of reasoning – you can see why the Observer flagged it, not just the conclusion.
- Each observation is directly connected into our memory and chat system, so you can drill deeper via conversation before you talk to a manager or team member.
The outcome: you get proactive, trusted, explainable insight – not another firehose of alerts you ignore.
2. Performance Chat: Real Answers, Real Context, No Prep Work
Most leaders who’ve tried tools like ChatGPT or Claude hit the same wall: the model is powerful, but you have to do all the prep work. You need to:
- Pull the reports
- Find and upload files
- Manually provide context
At that point, you’re doing more data wrangling than leading.
Connectors and MCP-style integrations have helped a bit, but they’re still limited to whatever they can pull at query time. They don’t really know your business; they just search it.
WorkSights AI flips that model.
Because we’re continuously ingesting activity from your business systems, we maintain a rich, structured memory of what’s happening. That memory is available instantly inside our chat experience.
So instead of uploading context, you can ask questions like:
- “What’s been happening with the sales team this week compared to last?”
- “How did engineering focus shift this month versus last month?”
- “Show me what’s going on with the team working on our Q2 priority.”
- “Has collaboration improved across design and engineering in the last two weeks?”
The system can answer with real, current, company-specific information – without you doing manual data prep.
This is especially powerful for the qualitative questions leaders constantly have but rarely get timely answers to, like “What’s really going on over here?” or “Can you tell me more about that team’s week?” Instead of calling a meeting and disrupting everyone’s day, you get immediate, grounded answers.
3. Skills-Based Reports: Custom Lenses on Performance
The third major capability is our new skills-based reports engine.
In AI terms, “skills” are structured instructions that tell the model how to think about and interpret data for a particular purpose. We use skills to shape how WorkSights AI analyzes your performance data through the lens that matters most to you.
Here’s how it works:
- You define the context of your business – company priorities, quarterly objectives, strategic themes.
- You can also define context for individual team members – what they’re working on, their core responsibilities, key initiatives.
- We combine those with skills that tell the AI how to evaluate and report on activity against those goals.
The result is highly relevant, customized reporting that doesn’t just say “here’s what happened,” but “here’s how what happened lines up with what matters.”
Reporting Cadence for Leaders and Managers
We’re launching with a straightforward but powerful reporting rhythm:
- Executives receive a daily report, typically at 7 a.m. in their local time zone, giving them a fresh, performance-focused view to start the day.
- Managers receive daily reports focused on the people who report directly to them.
These reports are designed to be quick to scan and actionable, not another time sink.
Additional weekly performance reports, trend analysis, and more longitudinal views over time are already in the pipeline and will be rolling out over the coming weeks and months.
4. A New Homepage Built for How Leaders Actually Work
The fourth major upgrade is a completely redesigned homepage experience inside WorkSights AI.
When you log in, you now land on a single, high-impact view that brings together:
- Chat – to ask questions and explore performance using natural language.
- Observer activity – surfaced in a clear, prioritized way with one click to find out more.
- Score dashboards – building on the metrics users already love from our earlier iteration.
- In-app notifications – so important updates from Observers and reports are visible and actionable.
This is designed to be the place you start your day as a leader – one environment where you can see what matters, drill into the why, and then go act.
Deep Customization for Your Business
Under Settings, you have fine-grained control over how WorkSights AI behaves for your company, including the ability to:
- Adjust how frequently Observers run and analyze your data.
- Customize the prompts that drive each Observer, so they reflect your strategy, expectations, and culture.
- Define and edit the skills used to generate reports.
- Set up and tune chat starters – pre-defined prompts that make it easier for leaders and managers to ask powerful performance questions.
This isn’t a black box. It’s a configurable performance intelligence layer tuned to your business, your goals, and your leadership style.
Why This Matters for Leaders
If you’re responsible for performance – as a founder, CEO, exec, or manager – your biggest constraint is usually visibility. Not more data. Better insight.
WorkSights AI is built to become the most important tool you use to run a high-performing business by:
- Turning scattered digital activity into coherent, trustworthy performance intelligence.
- Giving you proactive, explainable signals instead of reactive reports.
- Letting you interrogate your business in natural language, with real context already wired in.
- Connecting quantitative metrics with qualitative understanding – what’s happening and why.
In other words: less guesswork, fewer surprises, and more confident, decisive leadership.
