Monday.com Integration Overview

The Monday.com integration brings item activity from your boards into the WorkSights timeline. Once connected, WorkSights receives events whenever items or their fields are created or updated and displays them as structured entries tagged with Monday.com's purple color.

Historical data is not imported. WorkSights receives activity from the point of connection onwards.

What WorkSights Receives

WorkSights processes the following Monday.com activity:

  • Item creation: new items created on connected boards
  • Item updates: changes to item fields including status, dates, and other standard properties
  • Assignee changes: updates to People columns
  • Deadline and date updates: changes to due dates or timeline fields
  • Comments: timestamp and author only. Comment text is never received.

Each event appears on the timeline with a brief description of what changed, the board name, and the type of update. Events appear within roughly 20 to 30 minutes depending on Monday.com's processing cycle.

Integration Page Overview

The Monday.com integration page contains three tabs:

  • Overview: connection details and integration owner
  • Users: Monday.com users mapped automatically by email
  • Connections: connected Monday.com accounts

Data Notes

WorkSights receives only the metadata Monday.com provides through its API. Comment text, item descriptions, and other content fields are never received. WorkSights cannot access anything the connected Monday.com user does not have permission to see in Monday.com.

Troubleshooting

If Monday.com activity is not appearing as expected:

  • Confirm the correct Monday.com account is connected in Settings under Connected Services.
  • Check that the affected user is mapped by email in the Users tab.
  • Allow up to 30 minutes for new events to appear.
  • If a board is missing, confirm it falls within the connected account's permissions.
  • Reconnecting the integration typically resolves expired tokens or permission changes.
  • For persistent issues, contact support via the in-app chat.
