WorkSights brings HubSpot engagement activity into the timeline so teams can see emails, calls, notes, and tasks in the same place as meetings, deals, and support work.

What WorkSights Receives

WorkSights syncs the four core HubSpot engagement types:

Emails — logged emails sent or received through HubSpot

Calls — inbound or outbound calls logged on a record

Notes — internal notes on any CRM object

Tasks — tasks created in HubSpot or assigned to a user

Each engagement event comes with the details HubSpot provides, such as:

  • Subject or title
  • Associated contact, company, deal, or ticket
  • The timestamp
  • The description or call/note content (when provided by HubSpot)

Example events include:

  • Created HubSpot Email: [Name]
  • Created HubSpot Task: Example Deal 2109 – task 2113
  • Created HubSpot note on Example Deal 2109
  • Created HubSpot call outbound – Call with [Name]

How Engagement Appears in WorkSights

All engagement objects appear in WorkSights with the same purple HubSpot color for easy scanning in the timeline.

Each event displays:

  • the type of engagement (email, note, call, task)
  • the associated record
  • any content HubSpot sends
  • the exact HubSpot timestamp

This gives teams quick contextual insight into what happened and when.

Grouped Engagement Updates

If multiple engagements are created at the same moment (e.g., a call log + a follow-up note + a task assigned), WorkSights groups them into a single clean entry.

This keeps the timeline clean when HubSpot automation creates several engagement objects at once.

Data Notes

WorkSights shows only the engagement details HubSpot sends through its API

This includes the subjects, timestamps, associations, and (when available) email or note content.

Email bodies are included only when HubSpot provides them

This depends on the type of email and HubSpot’s privacy model. When not available, WorkSights will show all other supplied metadata.

Attachments may appear only as IDs

HubSpot provides attachment IDs, but not always file previews or direct download links.

Permissions apply

WorkSights cannot display engagement objects (emails, calls, notes, tasks) that the authenticated HubSpot user is not allowed to see in HubSpot.
