HubSpot Setup

HubSpot can be connected from the Services section in WorkSights. Once connected, HubSpot begins sending events to WorkSights automatically and they appear as structured activities on the timeline.

WorkSights supports multiple HubSpot accounts. Each account is treated as its own connection and more than one can be added if your organization uses multiple HubSpot environments.

Connecting HubSpot

Step 1: Start the Connection

  1. Go to Services in the top navigation
  2. Find HubSpot in the list
  3. Click Connect HubSpot

Only Admins, Owners, and Executives can initiate the HubSpot connection.

Step 2: Authorize WorkSights in HubSpot

You will be redirected to HubSpot to select the account you want to connect. After choosing the correct hub, approve the requested permissions. The HubSpot user authorizing the connection must have admin privileges in HubSpot. Without them, the connection cannot be completed.

To connect additional accounts, use the Add Additional button on the HubSpot integration page.

Step 3: User Mapping

WorkSights imports your HubSpot users and matches them to WorkSights profiles by email.

Open the Users tab to review mappings. For any user that did not map automatically, select the correct WorkSights profile from the dropdown.

Each HubSpot user can only be mapped once. Subscriptions for sync are enabled by default and can be disabled for specific accounts if needed.

What Happens Next

HubSpot begins sending events to WorkSights immediately after the connection is established. New activity will appear on the timeline as it occurs in HubSpot. You can review mappings and feature settings at any time from the integration page.

Troubleshooting

If the HubSpot connection is not working as expected:

  • Confirm the connection was authorized by a HubSpot admin. Without admin privileges the connection cannot be completed.
  • Check that the HubSpot account appears as connected in Settings under Connected Services.
  • If users are missing from the mapping, confirm their HubSpot and WorkSights email addresses match. Mismatched emails prevent automatic mapping.
  • Reconnecting the integration typically resolves expired tokens or permission changes.
  • For persistent issues, contact support via the in-app chat.
