Zoom Meetings
Zoom Meetings appear in WorkSights so teams can see hosted meeting activity on the timeline. WorkSights receives session metadata once a meeting ends and displays it as a structured entry for the mapped user.
For connection steps, see Zoom Setup.
What WorkSights Receives
WorkSights receives metadata for every Zoom meeting hosted by the connected user:
- Meeting title
- Start and end time
- Duration
Attendee identities, join and leave timestamps, chat messages, recordings, transcripts, and meeting content of any kind are never received.
How Meetings Appear
Hosted meetings appear as a single event block on the timeline in bright blue, matching the visual style used for Teams calls and Google Meet. The meeting title and time range are shown. Selecting the entry expands it to show additional session context.
If a mapped user joins a meeting hosted by someone else, Zoom does not share session details with WorkSights. In those cases, the calendar event appears on the timeline but no Zoom session data is shown.
Data Notes
Zoom shares meeting data only for sessions where the connected account is the host. Attendee lists are never available regardless of host status. Activity appears only for mapped users and only from the point the integration is connected.
Troubleshooting
If a Zoom meeting is not appearing as expected:
- Confirm the user was the host of the meeting, not a participant.
- Check that the user is mapped and that Zoom is active in their Services tab.
- Verify the meeting belongs to the same Zoom account connected to WorkSights.
- Confirm the user's Zoom and WorkSights email addresses match.
- For persistent issues, contact support via the in-app chat.
