Basecamp Messages

Messages in Basecamp support structured communication within projects. WorkSights captures message activity so leaders can see when project communication is happening across the team.

What WorkSights Receives

WorkSights captures message creation and updates on Basecamp message boards. Activity titles show the project and message board context: Project > Message Board > Message Subject > Action.

Message bodies are never received. Only the subject, project context, and timestamps are stored.

Message activity is categorized as General and appears only for mapped users, from the point of connection onwards.

Troubleshooting

Message activity is not appearing

Confirm the affected user is mapped in the Users tab. Confirm the activity occurred after the connection was established, as no historical data is imported.

Activity stopped after reconnecting

The webhook URL is tied to the connection. Reconnect the integration from the integration page to re-register the webhook with the correct URL. Contact us at success@worksights.ai for any assistance.

Activity is delayed

This is expected. Activity is processed in batches roughly every 20 minutes.
