Rocketlane Time Log
WorkSights ingests time entries from Rocketlane and displays them as Time Log activities on each team member’s timeline. This guide covers how Time Log activity appears and what WorkSights receives from each entry.
For an overview of the Rocketlane integration, see Rocketlane Integration Overview.
How Time Log Activity Appears
Each time entry logged in Rocketlane creates a Time Log activity on the timeline of the team member who logged it. The activity title follows the format:
Client > Project > Task > Time Log
The third segment reflects the most specific work item the time was logged against, which may be a task or a phase depending on how the entry was created in Rocketlane.
Time Log activities are displayable but not scored. They provide context for Observers rather than contributing directly to performance signals.
What WorkSights Receives
For each time entry, WorkSights receives the duration, the date the work occurred, the project hierarchy (client, project, phase, and task where available), and the team member who logged the time. WorkSights does not receive notes, billable rate information, or approval status.
Data Notes
Time entries are ingested on a 15-minute poll cycle. Activity logged in Rocketlane will appear on the timeline within 15 minutes of the next poll.
There is no backfill beyond the initial 7-day import that runs when the connection is first established. Time entries predating the connection by more than 7 days will not appear on the timeline.
